The problem: Securly's current site lacked focus and brand presence
Scope: Define voice and tone, familiarize myself with our product features, and draft content for 8 product landing pages
Key stakeholders: Product managers, CEO, Director of Product Marketing
Our products had undergone so many name changes that even our employees and sales people were calling them different things! We needed to work with the CEO to go back to the drawing board and commit to a naming convention for our products and enforce it.
Next, I needed to define a consistent voice and tone and style guide. I worked closely with one of our product managers to understand and adapt my writing style to a since-undefined and undefined voice and tone. Once I was able to adapt my writing style with little to no feedback on my work, I put my knowledge itno our voice and tone guidelines that are still used at Securly today.
Finally, I had to collaborate closely with the product managers for each of our 8 products to determine what features should be highlighted and create consistent, modular, branding messaging that could also be used in a variety of situations.
